Our heritage of German quality

PMI Technology has achieved significant milestones over nearly four decades, steadily growing from humble beginnings into a global leader of filtration solutions.

Founded in 1987, we began our journey as an agent and manufacturer for Eberhart Hoesch & Sohne GmbH & Co., a multinational solid liquid filtration company based in Germany. By the early 1990s, the company expanded its operations in the ASEAN region and led innovations for larger-sized filters to meet the growing demands of the edible oil, food processing and industrial wastewater industries.

Our strategic foundations for future growth

Today, PMI Technology continues to expand its reach and capabilities while staying true to its roots as a family-run business. To continue meeting customers’ expectations, we are strengthening our production capacity, accelerating technical innovation and deepening our process engineering expertise.

Our milestones

Some key milestones in PMI Technology’s journey so far

  • It all begins with an idea. Pan-Merchant Industries commenced its business in the marketing and sale of filters

  • Pan-Merchant Industries began to manufacture filter presses for customers in America

  • We manufactured and assembled hermetic filters under the “LFC Lochem” trade name.

  • Pan-Merchant Industries secured its first order for filter press from customers with premises based in the Europe region. This filter was CE certified!

  • Pan-Merchant Industries designed, manufactured, assembled, delivered and commissioned all filter presses under the “PMI” trade name

  • Pan-Merchant Industries designed, manufactured, assembled, delivered and commissioned all hermetic filter under the “PMI” trade name

  • We incorporated PMIT Europe NL and set up our Netherlands office to serve our customers in Europe

  • We incorporated PMIT Singapore and set up our Singapore office to serve our regional customers in ASEAN

  • We incorporated PMIT USA NL and set up our office in the United States to serve our customers in North America

  • Pan Merchant Berhad, our listing entity, was successfully listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 26 June 2025 and can be found on this page of the Bursa Malaysia website.
